PaintShop Pro X2Pages: 1 Information About My TutorialsAs I write this in February 2010 I am still using PaintShop Pro X2; I will upgrade to X3 soon and then all my tutorials will be written in that program. My current published tutorials will remain available, and you'll find that they will work just as well in X3. I've split the tutorials into categories, and you can find them over on the right hand side. I am producing my new tutorials on video, and this has an advantage for you: it's much easier for me to speak than type, and that means more tutorials, more often! I am still learning my video technique, both for speaking and recording the screen, and I admit they may not be as polished as I would like. I think as long as you can understand them, follow the steps and learn from them, they will serve their purpose. One other thing I should explain is that I have a disability, Arthrogryposis, which affects my arms, hands, legs and feet. I have limited hand movement, and fine motor skills are quite difficult for me. I want you to know this because it is often why I don't use certain tools in PaintShop Pro, or why I might seem to take a long way around to achieve a certain effect. I have my 'Jane's Way' workarounds, and sometimes you'll see my mouse wandering all over the window as I try to get in the right position! I am trying to limit that excess mouse activity, so that you don't get too distracted by it. PDF Tutorials
My written tutorials use Paint Shop Pro X2, with step-by-step instructions and are in pdf format. This means you can save them easily to your own computer and even print them out, if you find it easier to follow them that way. You will need Acrobat Reader to open the pdf files and you can download it here for free. Even if you're a total novice with Paint Shop Pro, you could manage to follow one of my tutorials. You will also be able to follow the tutorials with other versions of Paint Shop Pro, but some of the menu commands may be different. In my written tutorials I use screenshots liberally, so you can see what I see as I am working. However, I don't always repeat screenshots of the menu commands after the first instance. Instead I use text like this Selections>Modify>Contract to indicate the commands, and from the image you can see how that corresponds to the number.
If you have any topics you would like to see in my tutorials, please do send me an email via the site contact form and I'll do my best to get them published! Pages: 1 |
